The University of Chicago Section of Adult and Pediatric Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism provides a broad and in-depth experience in both clinical and investigative endocrinology, here we highlight the clinical aspect.  Each Thursday from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m., all faculty and fellows from the Section attend our clinical round rounds.  These presentations* are representative of the unusual and diverse patient cases that are typically encountered here at The University of Chicago’s Hospitals and Clinics.  The case summaries have been prepared by our endocrine fellows with faculty guidance, and presented for discussion.  This weekly meeting not only provides our fellows excellent exposure to a broad range of endocrine disorders, it is also a forum for our expert clinical training faculty to engage with them in lively discussions to challenge existing ideas and provoke new thinking.  Our trainees gather invaluable benefit from the insight and experience of our expert attending physicians, and we provide a unique opportunity for discovery and treatment of endocrine disorders that span from birth to old age.
